Hong Kong vs Indonesia

I have recently been so active on Preply, taking Japanese classes, and have been doing Anki for about 2 weeks now. This is part of the homework that was given to me: to create some paragraphs regarding life in Hong Kong vs Indonesia, in Japanese, anyway I'm gonna write it in English first, then translate it.

When moving to Hong Kong, I landed here on the 8th of December 2023. It was so cold, and it was also the first time I had been in Hong Kong.

香港に移動 (moving)した、12月8日ここで着いた (landed). 寒いでした. も初めて香港にいました

  • I can clearly feel the air is way better than in Indonesia. Lol. I arrived during winter, and it was my first time surviving winter.
  • インドネシアより、香港大気 (air)の方がめっちゃいいです。草。雪に込んだ (winter)、も初めて雪に生き延びた (survive)

  • Normal food in Indonesia costs about 300 Yen to 500 Yen, but in Hong Kong, it can easily cost about 1200 to 2000 Yen. When I lived here, I used to eat this "rice-with 2 dishes" 兩餸飯, which costs about 1000 Yen, and it's really good~! It's like one of the popular foods here for the locals.
  • インドネシアに、食べ物（昼食 (lunch)、夕食 (dinner)とか）は300円と500円ぐらいかかった (cost)したんけど、香港は簡単に (easily)1200円から2000円間までかかった (cost)しました。も、着いた (arrived)してた、兩餸飯に食べ (eat) used to. 1000円かかった (cost)した、香港の比較的 (relative)で、安くておいしいです。これも、人気食べ物の中に地元 (local)人これ (this).

  • Hong Kong doesn't have that many local brands or culture. Indian food, sushi, Japanese ramen, and Chinese food are popular everywhere. The locals like to eat beef brisket and noodles, too. Unlike in Indonesia, pork here is cheaper than beef. Because Indonesia has many muslims who don't eat pork. Eating pork is considered a luxury.

  • 香港は地元 (local) 銘柄 (brands)とか文化 (culture)とか特有 (specific)でない。印度 (Indian)料理、日本料理、寿司、ラーメン、と中国料理もたくさんあります。地元 (locals)の人は牛胸肉 (beef brisket)と卵麺 (egg noodle)が好きだと思う。インドネシアと違って (unlike)、豚肉より牛 (beef)肉はここの方が安い。インドネシアは、イスラム (muslims)の豚肉食べられないの人はたくさんいますのように.

  • People walk kinda fast here, and the coverage of public transportation, especially buses and trains. In Indonesia, you'll usually take a taxi or a motorcycle taxi (Ojek) from the train station to the place you want to go.

  • 人歩く、速い、公共交通 (public transportation)（バス、電車）の範囲 (coverage)は広いです。インドネシアは、貸切車 (taxi)と単車 (motorcycle taxi)（配車 (Ojek)と言います）、えと、駅電車から、目的地 (destination)までみんなよく使います

  • Lockers and delivery pickup stations are everywhere. In Indonesia, usually every item will just be delivered directly to home.

  • 預かり所 (Lockers)と、配達 (delivery)受取 (pickup)場 (stations)はどこもあります。インドネシアは、配達 (delivery)物は家にすぐ (directly)受け取る (accept)です

  • I used to look very messy and sloppy. But I care more about my appearance here. Because people just dressed so nicely, they take care of their skin, wearing sunscreen, exercise, and pay attention to what they eat.

  • 最初 (when I first came) 来ました (came)は、僕だらしない (messy)といい加減 (sloppy)と見えた (look)した。今、見た目 (appearance) もっと気にする (care more)。ここは、みんなきれい (nice)で服 (dress)して。肌 (skin)も大切にする (take care)です、日焼け止め (sunscreen)使い (wearing)、運動 (exercise)し、食べ物も気をつける (pay attention)して。
