The Future
Introduction
I've been losing my thoughts lately. Maybe it's because of large language models โ I'm beginning to feel too lazy to think. Recently, I've been talking to myself about what the world is going to look like in the future for a lot of professions.
Now that computing power is going to surpass human intelligence, what's the world gonna be like?
2029: HIV and Cancer Are Curable
This is gonna be a funny one. I imagine one day a random scientist is just doing an experiment with their thing, and suddenly, boom:
Agentic iterations found a cure for HIV
What a breakthrough!
2032: Humans Can Synthesize Fuel from Plastic and Organic Matter
Travel is going to be cheaper. Humans will be able to fly anywhere. Oil prices will drop.
2033: Fuel Is Cheap, Now 90% of the Workforce Is Replaced by Machinery
The economy is going crazy. Nutritious, delicious food is cheap, but luxury food keeps getting more and more expensive. The lower class starts eating a low-cost, human-made replacement. Meanwhile, the middle class expands livestock production. Genetically modified animals are starting to appear; cows and chickens can no longer get sick.
2034: Astronomy Expands, Humans Manage to Find Proof of Past Life on Mars
Specimen 25 has been retrieved. There has indeed been life on Mars.
So crazy, right?
I Think the Arts Will Kind of Survive
Now that everything is kinda pointless:
- Waiter, server: you can't work in restaurants anymore, since everything is automatic
- Driver: self-driving cars are so reliable you wouldn't want a driver
- Mechanic, engineer: these jobs will still exist, but they'll probably be assisted by a repair LLM and some mechanical robots that grab their tools and instructions
- Doctor: analysis and surgery will definitely be replaced by better machines. Doctors will only be left with highly analytical decisions.
Speaking of the arts, I actually visited Comiket on August 15th and 16th!
Horniness is a driving motivation for me. I do stupid things when I'm horny. I will even attempt to turn off the sun by watering it down if that's my fetish.
I'll have to admit it and give credit to my fetish for helping me lose a lot of weight and not overeat. I can't imagine losing my libido โ perhaps I'd lose control and end my life.

My Friend Told Me Their Country Is Kinda Messed Up
The population is decreasing in South Korea and Japan. They employ many foreigners to replace their workforce so that society can function. Extending from that, if you think and ponder about it long enough, you'll realize life is fucked up lmao.
People like things that make them happy, and cheap happiness is indeed just watching things from your phone :D

So I kinda grinded. Finally, I'm trying to beat my laziness about Ankiing, because one of my non-Chinese friends can now read Chinese better than me. Hocky being Hocky is just sad, bro. I guess you can't replace that. Open it here: CJK Page.
I also think that entertainment has recently become super cheap as well, so people know more about YouTubers and singers than nerdy topics like human breakthroughs. The economy rewards entertainment more โ or is it just me?
